Maintenance ended

Scheduled network maintenance will take place at our Amsterdam location on Friday, October 23, 2026 at 19:30 CEST (17:30 UTC). The expected duration is 1 to 5 minutes.

Important: This maintenance is not being performed by us. Our L2 transport and cross connect provider at Nikhef is upgrading their core network to new Arista equipment for higher performance and redundancy. As part of this, our cross connects need to be re-plugged into the new equipment, which will cause a brief interruption.

Impact: BGP sessions and all L2 transport links, point-to-point circuits, and VLAN passages in Amsterdam will experience a short traffic interruption while the cross connects are moved and sessions re-establish.

The provider’s original window was 22:00 to 02:00 CEST with up to 60 minutes of impact. We have asked them to move our work earlier in the evening and keep it as short as possible, so the impact should now be a few minutes at most.

We recommend ensuring any critical services have appropriate failover configured in advance. We will be monitoring throughout and will post updates here if anything changes.
